What do the number ranges mean on my band?

If you have one of the new bands you will see a number range on the label now.

For example, on the yellow band you will see 3-12lbs.

The numbers you see on the band are the minimum and maximum resistance levels that band will produce.

Resistance bands provide what is called progressive resistance. This means the further you stretch the band, the more resistance it will provide.

Using the example of the yellow band above, it will produce 3lbs of resistance as you start to stretch the band, and will increase in resistance through the range of the stretch until it is at full elongation at which point it will be producing 12lbs of resistance.
